Smart Air Bangladesh donated 2 powerful Blast Minis to the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) for protection in their COVID-19 ward. The hospital has been on the front line in responding to the COVID-19 outbreak in Bangladesh. Smart Air Bangladesh decided to donate to icddr,b because the hospital treats 200,000 patients annually free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Blast Minis continue to be used at the Covid-19 ward of icddr,b to reduce COVID-19 transmission. The Blast Minis are currently placed at a ward treating patients from the displaced Rohingya nationals and its host communities. The facility opened in December 2020 and since then 22,000 patients have been treated, with protection from the Smart Air Blast Mini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doctors at the hospital have expressed their gratefulness<\/a> regarding the donation. Furthermore, after UNICEF came across the Blast Mini donations, they decided to purchase over 30 for a hospital in Teknaf.
