It&#8217;s smaller and lighter than most air quality monitors. It boasts a really long battery life, upwards of 8 hours. It&#8217;s great for measuring air quality on the go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/blog\/formaldehyde-detectors-not-accurate-monitor-formaldehyde-home\/\">What are tVOCs and are tVOC sensors accurate? \u00bb<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">How We Tested and Reviewed the Qingping Air Quality Monitors <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We placed both the Qingping air quality monitors (QP Pro and QP Lite) outside the <a href=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/en\/contact-smart-air\/\">Smart Air office<\/a> in Beijing. That\u2019s about 800 meters away from the government PM2.5 monitor at Dongcheng Dongsi. Over the course of 17 days, we recorded data from the two monitors along with the official government PM2.5 monitor. We also tested an additional monitor \u2013 the IQAir AirVisual \u2013 which came out on top in our previous round of <a href=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/en\/blog\/how-accurate-are-common-particle-counters-comparison-test\/\">air quality monitor tests<\/a>, as well as the Laser Egg air quality monitor. Those tests found the QP air quality monitors are more accurate than some of the most expensive air quality monitors on the market over 50 times the price. The QP monitors are under $200, but they <a href=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/en\/blog\/expensive-air-quality-monitors-less-accurate-than-cheaper-competition\/\">significantly outperformed <\/a>the AQMesh ($7,800), Naneos Partector ($7,000), and Met One E-SAMPLER ($5,500). <a href=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/en\/blog\/air-purifiers-test-shanghai-consumer-protection-bureau\/\">Just like with air purifiers<\/a>, price is mostly uncorrelated with effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Caveat: Watch Out For Humidity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The accuracy of air quality monitors can depend on a variety of external factors, including <a href=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/learn\/smart-air-knowledge-base\/humidity-affect-reads-air-quality-monitors\/\">humidity<\/a> and the particular source of air pollution nearby. It&#8217;s worth noting that our test location for this test was next to a busy ring road in Beijing. Pollution from cars may have affected the readings and led to a lower correlation with the government data.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"466\" src=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/DSCF9684-600x466.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/DSCF9684-600x466.jpg 600w, https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/DSCF9684-300x233.jpg 300w, https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/DSCF9684-768x596.jpg 768w, https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/DSCF9684.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The outdoor humidity during these tests was approximately 65%. If the tests were to be done under the lower humidity more often seen indoors (30-50%), the monitors may have been more accurate. This may explain why our <a href=\"https:\/\/smartairfilters.com\/en\/blog\/how-accurate-are-common-particle-counters-comparison-test\/\">previous tests<\/a> showed an even higher correlation with the official government monitor (over 0.90, compared with 0.75 this time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Open Data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Smart Air believes in open data.
