Previously, the EU allowed a higher annual limit of 25 \u00b5g\/m\u00b3 for PM2.5 and 40 \u00b5g\/m\u00b3 for PM10. The limit is cut by half, which is much closer to WHO recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new standards are set to be enforced by 2030.
