When should I change my HEPA?
We recommend changing your HEPAs every 140 days at about 8 hours a day, or every 1000 hours.

When should I change my carbon?
Calculating the lifespan of a carbon is much more difficult because the primary source is from inside the home, and studies show that VOC levels in people’s home vary from almost no VOCs to many times the limit. In most cases, you can use your nose. It sounds un-scientific, but VOCs like benzene and formaldehyde are smellable even at very low levels. If you can smell that “new home smell” and have new furniture or recent remodeling, we suggest changing the carbon filter more often – as often as every 1-2 weeks.
