Fresh air vent / grille for the Blast and Blast Mini

Description

The fresh air vent is suitable for anyone needing to bring in fresh, filtered air. It is the ideal solution for hospitals concerned about aspergillus during construction work or where you need to create a negative pressure environment.

Simply remove the pre-filter and slide this into place (no tools required). Note that this purchase is for the grille only, you will need to source your own ducting depending on the length required for your room.

Where it can be used?

• Commercial Buildings: Ideal for hospitals, unventilated basements and spaces without mechanical ventilation.
• Industrial Settings: Suitable for factories, warehouses, and other industrial environments where robust air circulation is needed

Installation

• Determine placement: Identify the optimal location for installation based on where the pipe will feed to:
  • For fresh air, you can use a standard vent opening in the wall or window
  • If you just want to create a negative pressure environment, you can bring in air from an internal area (like a corridor) so instead of recirculating the air and filtering it, you are flooding the room with filtered air
• Prepare the opening: Ensure the wall or ceiling opening matches the grille pipe size of 15cm
• Secure the grille: Unfasten the top thumb screw and remove the pre-filter, slide on the vent unit and replace the thumbscrew to secure the grille in place
• Connect the pipe: Purchase a flexible pipe (and pipe attachment piece) to the length required for your space
