Sqair E12 Filter
Clean air in your bedroom
The Sqair E12 filter protects you from China’s air pollution
China’s air pollution has been a recurring environmental and health problem. Despite small improvements during the COVID-19 lockdown, air quality in all of China’s major cities were still over the WHO limit in 2020.
The Sqair’s E12 filter effectively traps particles like PM2.5, dust, pet fur, viruses and mold, giving you cleaner air in your bedroom. Sleep more easily without worrying about allergies or asthma.

Can HEPA/EPA filters capture the coronavirus?
A common concern is whether HEPA/EPA filters can filter viruses like the COVID-19 coronavirus. HEPA/EPA filters removes particles greater than or equal to 0.3 microns, but virus particles are smaller. The coronavirus measures 0.06 to 0.14 microns in diameter. Are air purifiers then powerless against viruses?
Actually, HEPA/EPA filters actually work great at capturing viruses. This is because a HEPA/EPA filter works not like a net, but through a process called diffusion. Learn more about how this works here.
How long can I use the Sqair E12 filter?
Filter lifespans are tricky. Purifier companies like to give lifespan numbers without proper reasoning. Clearly, the HEPA/EPA filter will not last as long in Beijing air as compared to Swiss air.
We estimated the lifespan of the Sqair’s E12 filter using two methods. From the data, we recommend up to 1400 hours of use. This is roughly equal to 6 months if you use the purifier 8 hours a day.
On high mode, this is equivalent to:

Can I wash a dirty HEPA/EPA filter?
Unfortunately not. We ran experiments to test this and found that washing HEPA/EPA filters does not prolong their lifespan. In fact, washing HEPA/EPA filters with water actually decreases performance. That’s why we recommend you replace your Sqair E12 filter after the maximum hours of use.
At ¥109 for half a year of clean air, the Sqair E12 filter offers the best prices for clean air.

Good value filters. Last much longer than cannon filters. And work as well as if not better than name brands like LG, plus they don’t have any plastic like odor when you first put them into use unlike the name brands.

Excellent value for money
