If your venue has a 'fresh air' HVAC system, that's great as your event will benefit from fresh air ventilation. Remember to check if it is fresh air or 'recirculating' air. Fresh air will dilute the indoor air but it won't filter the air. Ventilation and Filtration needs to work together. Besides, most HVAC systems will not meet the new post-pandemic requirements for ventilation. An HVAC system is designed for air cooling and heating with triggers around thermal comfort. Filters in an HVAC system are there just to protect the mechanics from dust and debris, not to filter out particles to clean the air.

To cater for events of up to 3 days, each rental block is for 6 days (Tuesday to Sunday). This allows us to ensure the unit(s) arrive at least a day before your event. You don't need to keep it for a full week - in fact, we recommend returning as soon as your event has finished. Rentals blocks are from Tuesday to Sunday with automatic collection the following Monday. However to ensure a safe return, you can select an earlier collection date in the comments box at the time of ordering.

All our rentable air cleaners have HEPA filters that will last more than 6 months when run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To ensure your filters reach you with maximum efficiency, we will only rent out our air cleaners 10 times before donating it. This means that only the first person renting will receive a new product, the next 9 people can still be assured of maximum filtration.

At the moment, we are only offering short-term online as self-service. We will need more details to give you a price for long-term rentals. If this is something you are interested in, please email [email protected] with the following information:

Your safety and health are our top priorities. Our rented air purifiers are designed to provide cleaner indoor air without posing risks, however, please follow these general safety guidelines:

• Our air purifiers are designed for indoor use. The wheels will get damaged if wheeling outdoors
• Ensure the unit is connected to a stable power source and use the cable provided, taking care to ensure it isn’t a trip-hazard
• The Blast is 1.2m tall. Care must be taken when positioning away from walls. If placed right up against the wall, you will block the inlet and reduce the effectiveness (see where is the best place FAQ for instructions)
• The Blast and Blast Mini come with 4 locking wheels. Please be sure to lock the wheels to keep it stable

Remember, we are here to address any specific concerns or questions you may have regarding your rented air purifier's safe and effective use.

• Position the air purifier around 10-15cm away from the wall. If it is too close to the wall, it cannot achieve maximum efficiency. Our tests shows 5% efficiency backed up against the wall, yet 100% efficiency around 10cm away!
• You may be restricted by the placement of sockets so if you have a choice:
  • Place where people can benefit the most from clean air
  • Air purifiers work best with windows and doors closed but in indoor events, ventilation is important. Our air purifiers have been tested with windows open and will work to 60-65% efficiency. If you do have doors and windows open, place the air purifiers in spaces that lack airflow (usually opposite sides of doors and windows)
  • Blast and Blast Mini use powerful fans so on a cold day, you might not want it facing your guests on full blast. However because the fans are so powerful, you will still benefit from air mixing if the air isn’t directly blowing on guests

No, these are speaker stands purchased by The Anchoress so she could have the purifiers pointing towards her, creating a personal stream of filtered air. You can purchase any speaker stand but just check that it can hold 25kg.

Your unit will not be hired out for more than 10 weeks so in the rare event that this happens, please reach out immediately. We will promptly assess the issue and arrange for repair or replacement to ensure you have a fully functional air purifier throughout your rental period.

If you anticipate missing the scheduled return date for the rented air purifier, please contact us immediately. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we will work with you to arrange an extension or discuss alternative solutions to ensure a smooth rental experience. But do note that in the event of a collection failure, we will have to pass on any courier costs.
