Indoor air quality in Delhi often mirrors outdoor pollution levels, with indoor PM2.5 concentrations rising as outdoor pollution worsens. This is because microscopic particles from outside seep into buildings through windows, doors, and ventilation systems. Without adequate air filtration or purification, indoor spaces can become just as polluted as the outdoor environment, posing significant health risks.
According to the EPA, however, the levels of indoor air pollutants are often 2 to 5 times higher than outdoor levels, and in some cases these levels can exceed 100 times that of outdoor levels of the same pollutants. In other words, sometimes the air inside can be more harmful than the air outside.
As a expat in India, I live in Delhi and I bought the airvisual monitor to see the air quality inside my home. The result was terrible so I think I will buy their air purifier as the air pollution is so high here in Delhi. I checked several time on the air Quality levels and the pollution historic score is just incredible….
