The Sqair breaks the mould, in terms of design — With its sleek, minimalist look, it seamlessly blends into any interior, looking good while delivering you 315m³/hr CADR for the standard version. This comes with optional Carbon filters and/or an upgrade of the HEPA filter to H13 grade (see below for details).
Delivery to EU Countries: For most EU countries, delivery charges are £15 for up to 2kg weight using postal services (Royal Mail). The final cost will be calculated at checkout and delivery can take 1 to 4 weeks. Please note that delivery charges are non-refundable if the goods have arrived in your country.
This product excludes UK sales tax but you will be required to pay EU tax (and possibly customs) on arrival. The customs is 0% for this product in the UK - while we assume it is the same for EU countries, you should check this before ordering. The customs export code is 8421392590.
We offer a 1 year UK warranty on manufacturer faults but you will bear the cost of returns in all situations including changing your mind.

What makes the Sqair special?
As a B-corp social enterprise helping the world breathe clean air, we designed the Sqair because we were tired of the gimmicks and BS from current air purifier companies. The Sqair gives you far more clean air at a fraction of the cost of the purifiers from those “big guys”.
How did we do this? We cut out the fancy marketing gimmicks such as ionisers and photocatalytic filters that science shows can actually make your air worse. We designed the Sqair for performance, not marketing ploys. The Sqair is data-backed and is excellent at one thing: cleaning air. And it does that better than its competition.

Why do we recommend a HEPA E12 grade filter for the Sqair?
We ran tests for different grades of HEPA filters when designing the Sqair, and we found that the HEPA E12 filter actually produced the best clean air result for the Sqair. If you'd really prefer a higher grade filter, we offer the Sqair with H13 HEPA but we highly recommend the Sqair with a HEPA E12 filter across its full use of applications
* All Smart Air filters are certified to GB13554-2008 (now updated to GB13554-2020) & GBT6165-2008 standards. This is the Chinese equivalent of EN1822 / ISO29463 and is independently tested.

Sqair in numbers
† The standard Sqair filter is a HEPA E12 (99.5%). We selected this grade HEPA as it outperformed the higher grades. We offer optional variations of HEPA H13 (99.97%) filter and/or carbon filter in our Chemical Warfare version but note the airflow and CADR will be different:
- H13 filter: Top CADR 225m³/h, Airflow 520m³/h
- Carbon filter: Top CADR 190m³/h, Airflow 480m³/h (note if you choose not to replace the carbon filter as you no longer have a need for it, the spec will be as shown in the main table for the HEPA version)

How is the new HEPA E12 filter able to achieve the same CADR as the original HEPA E11 filter?
After much hard work by our factory and R&D team, we're happy to announce that we've been able to switch from a HEPA E11 in the Sqair to HEPA E12 filter without any change in CADR! Usually increasing the HEPA grade will lower the CADR but we revisited the materials with the factory and found an E12 material with slightly lower air resistance. After working on 10+ prototypes and tweaking the number of folds to the filter, we were able to provide a higher-grade filter with the same CADR.
What’s the difference between the E11, E12 and H13 filters?
Filters are graded on their ability to trap particle PM0.3 as this is the smallest particle size that travels in a straight line, not the smallest size that can be trapped. In fact, smaller particles travel in a zig zag way (called the Brownian motion) making it next to impossible to pass through the HEPA fibres. This means that most filters will trap virtually 100% of smaller / nano-particles (including the virus). If a company is saying their purifiers can trap particles smaller than PM0.3 they either haven’t done their research or, worse still, they are using this as marketing tactics to push sales.
In terms of the different options for the Sqair, the different grades will capture the following percentages of PM0.3:
HEPA E11 – 95%
HEPA E12 – 99.5%
HEPA H13 – 99.97%
Are Smart Air purifiers better than other air purifiers?
Smart Air purifiers use the same cleaning principle as most other air purifiers. The technology behind air purifiers is not complex, and readily available.
However, Smart Air is the only air purifier company committed to transparent communication through open-data. We avoid overcomplicating our air purifiers with high markups and marketing gimmicks. Smart Air purifiers are honest, data-backed, and streamlined to do one thing: clean air.
What room size is suitable for the Sqair?
The Sqair is recommended for rooms 40 square meters (430 sq ft) in area or smaller. Even in a 40 square meter room, the Sqair is able to clean all the air in the room over 3 times in just 1 hour on high.
For larger areas, consider multiple Sqairs or one of Smart Air’s professional air purifiers (the Blast or Blast Mini), which have a higher Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR).
Why does the Sqair not have a pre-filter?
Pre-filters add an extra layer of resistance to your air purifier by reducing airflow and increasing noise. For all our other air purifiers, the cost of efficiency was small while the gain was an increase in filter lifespan. We ran multiple tests with the Sqair and found that the costs far outweighed the gain so we decided not to include a pre-filter. What is the difference between the Sqair and Sqair Chemical Warfare?
Smart Air’s Both models of the Sqair include a HEPA filter, which is extremely effective at removing particles (allergens, viruses, dust, PM2.5, etc) from our air. The Chemical Warefare version also includes an activated carbon filter (in addition to the HEPA filter) which helps reduce odors and dangerous VOCs gas in the air.
Smart Air’s range of carbon filters absorb VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) such as formaldehyde, paint thinners, petroleum fuels, or dry cleaning agents. Carbon filters also remove odors.

How Long Can a Sqair Last?
The Sqair is incredibly simple. This simple design means it’s built to last. When designing The Sqair, we stress-tested multiple Sqair’s by running them continuously for 10,000 hours on ‘high’. We’re confident The Sqair can last at least 10,000 hours, and normally even longer.
How to know when it is time to replace the Sqair’s HEPA filter?
We recommend replacing the HEPA filter every 6 months (9 months in the UK). But the truth is the exact time depends on many factors such as the amount of hours used and local pollution levels. Looks a lot nicer than a DIY air filter while also working well. Due to my wife’s asthma I wished to buy a few air filters, it was clear that the DIY filters give the best value for money and the best air cleaning, however they don’t look nice, the Sqair Air Purifier was a good compromise from a company that openly publishes believable performance data for their products.
Other than on the lowest setting, the noise is too high for a home, so several are needed to cover a large come, but that is likely to be the case with all air filters.
I wish they provided a discount to buy additional units rather than requiring all units to be bought at the same time to get the best price.

Unfortunately it comes with only 1 year guarantee. After 18 months the switch on my device failed and the fan does not work at all. It seems impossible to just replace the fan and switch, so I am now left with a nice looking coffee table. 🙁
It is a pity they have not built it in such a way that parts can be replaced.

Fantastic product! I bought this because of covid and also because I suffer from hayfever, which has me coughing through the night when the pollen is very high. Had this unit for about 11 months now (pre-ordered it so was one of the first to get it in the UK) and frankly the filters are looking very black... so I guess its working. Nice looking unit, really does move the air and a PM2.5 sensor seems to suggest that it really is working. I run mine on a smart socket to have some automation and it works a charm. My only criticism is the footprint - it takes up a fair amount of space that a more vertical unit doesn't.

Delivery service excellent. Company helpful. Easy to assemble. Looks smart. I wanted three air cleaners for a room of my size with 10 people in it. I was lent another one. I monitored the air with a CO2 monitor. Cleaners on setting 2. Windows either end of the room open a little. Kept below 650. I opened the French doors at that point for a couple of minutes. Sent down to under 500 and stayed under 600 for the rest of the evening. (400-600 fresh air quality, under 800 very good). Happier having people around now!

Very happy with this filter. It's simple and seems robust. Filter changes couldn't be easier. Has a good CADR for its cost. The noise produced in use on full power isn't too loud to hold a conversation over, and is quieter than many, though sufficiently loud that we often have it on a lower setting for a longer time. The lowest setting produces a pleasant hum, the middle setting produces a noticeable noise but quiet enough to blend into the background noise of family life.
