The Blast HEPA protects you from Bangladesh’s pollution

Bangladesh air is filled with pollutants that are harmful to our health. Air pollution is hard to escape – even our homes are filled with these dangerous microscopic particles.

The Blast’s HEPA filter effectively traps particles like PM2.5, dust, pet fur, viruses and mold. You won’t have to worry about your allergies or asthma any longer!

Blast HEPA’s massive area captures 99.95% of pollutants

The Blast HEPA filter is huge — 20 times the size of our Original DIY HEPAs.

We tested over 10 different HEPA materials before deciding on using an H13, 99.95% grade HEPA filter. That means it can capture 99.95% of those particles above (and below) 0.3 microns!

Are HEPA filters effective against COVID?

A common concern is whether HEPA filters can filter viruses like the COVID-19 coronavirus. HEPA filters removes particles greater than or equal to 0.3 microns, but virus particles are smaller. The coronavirus measures 0.06 to 0.14 microns in diameter. Are air purifiers then powerless against viruses?

Actually, HEPA filters actually work great at capturing viruses. This is because a HEPA filter works not like a net, but through a process called diffusion. Learn more about how this works here.

How often should I change my Blast HEPA filter?

Bangladesh, and especially Dhaka, has one of the highest air pollution levels in the world.

Because of severe air pollution levels in Bangladesh the Blast HEPA filter lifetime is less than in other countries. We recommend replacing your filter after 15 months of use (at 8 hours a day) at the latest. That’s maximum 3800 hours in total; this is the amount of time you can run your Blast air purifier before needing to change your filters.

However, you should still check your HEPA filter at regular intervals. Use our filter lifetime calculator to determine when to change your HEPA filter.

We know that buying new HEPA filters is a significant recurring cost, so we do our best to keep prices low.

Can I wash a dirty HEPA filter?

Unfortunately not. We ran experiments to test this and found that washing HEPA filters does not prolong their lifespan. In fact, washing HEPA filters with water actually decreases performance. That’s why we recommend you replace your Blast HEPA filter after the maximum hours of use.

At BDT 25,000 for 12 months of clean air, the Blast HEPA offers you the best prices for clean air.

Time to change the HEPA?

You’ll only need to change it every 15 months, but we still tried to keep things simple.
