Air purifiers for the COVID-19 Virus?
Air purifiers with HEPA filters like Smart Air's can filter the COVID-19 coronavirus. Learn how HEPA air purifiers filter viruses. How the Blast protects you from air pollution
Air pollution is a well-known problem for Bangladesh, with Dhaka’s air quality index reaching very unhealthy levels in 2019.
The Blast’s massive HEPA filter – 10-20 times the size of our DIY purifier filters – effectively traps dust, mold, pollen, and most importantly, PM2.5, which is the main cause of air pollution in Bangladesh. With the inclusion of a pre-filter, the HEPA filter can last for 5280 hrs. That’s a whole 12 months (8 hrs a day) before you have to replace your filter!
Powerful and efficient – your lungs will have a “Blast”!
1 Blast = 3.4 BlueAir 203s
The Blast is simple. It’s a fan and a filter, packed into one box. But it’s also simply powerful. We’ve tweaked every part of this machine to give it the max performance for the money.
In one minute, a Blast can give out the same amount of clean air as 3.4 Blueair 203’s. That’s a whole load of clean air!
Air Purifier for COVID-19 Protection
Data shows that air purifiers can capture the COVID-19 coronavirus. The Blast Air purifier, with its H13 grade (99.95%) HEPA filter, can also filter COVID-19. Learn more about how air purifiers are able to filter out COVID-19.
The Blast contains a huge fan, and an oversized HEPA, this means that it can pump out more clean air at lower noise levels.
Suitable for offices and hospitals
We recommend the Blast for large spaces like hospitals, schools, restaurants and clinics. Its quality finish and moveable design allows it to fit perfectly in your office or workspace. Its super-quiet design, at just 48dB on high, makes it ideal for homes and living rooms too.

Great service, delivered promptly before expected. Seriously notice the difference when I plugged it in and it is only summer.
I’m not sure what everyone is talking about, referring to noise etc. the unit is pretty damn quiet…
thanks team, I will recommend your product to other ex-pats like myself. Cheers ?

These are awesome. We have one in our bedroom at full blast constantly and have never considered it loud at all. We watch films fine and don’t even notice it. And we sleep in perfectly clean air… seems like a pretty good deal to me! Thanks guys!

Pros:
1. Large air cleaning capacity.
2. Works almost silently even at highest fan speed. Sometimes I have to put my hand 2-3 inches away from it to see if it works.
3. Expensive but costs less than other large air purifiers with same cleaning capacity.
4. Prefilter is thicker than what comes in Philips and traps a lot of dust. The HEPA and carbon filters were relatively clean when I changed them.
Cons:
1. Sometimes the power cord behind it gets loose and it turns off until pushed back in. Since it’s mostly silently, hard to know when that happens.
2. There should be a better design than opening 3 screws to take out the pre filter. I have swapped the side holding metal strips with the top and bottom ones. It’s not a good fit but this way I have to only open the top screw to get the pre filter out.
3. Filters are heavy. It’s hard for a single person to change them, try to get 2 persons to change it. Once I was changing it on my own. The loose power cord behind, unknown to me fell on the bottom frame. The filters with the front frame wouldn’t fit, since there was a power cord blocking the frame at the back. After some time the front metal frame with carbon filter and HEPA filter fell on my toe, which caused a subungual hematoma.
