Why Does The Cardboard-framed HEPA Filters Cost The Same as The Metal-frame Ones?

We switched to using cardboard-framed HEPA filters for the Blast and Blast Mini to reduce the carbon-footprint our filters have on the environment.

We’re also always looking for ways to reduce the costs of our products for air breathers. However in this case, the more complicated manufacturing process for the cardboard-frame HEPAs means they cost the same to make when compared to the old aluminum-frame filters.

Ensuring maximum effectiveness of our filters is most important to ensuring air breathers get the cleanest air possible. Rest assured, the ability of the cardboard-frame filters to filter air is not lower than the aluminum-frame filters. In fact, airflow for the new cardboard-frame filters is slightly higher due to the optimized design and removal of the inlet and outlet metal mesh.

In short:

  1. The new cardboard-frame filters are lighter and more environmentally friendly.
  2. The price of the new cardboard-frame filters matches that of the old aluminum-frame filters, because it costs us the same to make.
  3. Filter effectiveness is most important, and the effectiveness of the cardboard-frame filters actually exceeds that of the old aluminum-frame filters.
