How do I Adjust a Purifier’s Recommended Room Size for Rooms with Higher or Lower Ceilings?

An air purifier’s recommended room size is calculated for a ‘standard’ room with a ceiling that’s 2.4m or 8ft in height.

If your room has a ceiling height higher or lower than this, the formula should be adjusted as follows:

In feet:

Actual Room Size = Recommended Room Size x 8 / Your Room Height

In meters:

Actual Room Size = Recommended Room Size x 2.4 / Your Room Height

Calculating Air Purifier Room Size for Rooms with High Ceilings

As an example, suppose you have an air purifier with a recommended room size of 40 square meters, and your room height is 3m. To calculate the purifiers actual room size you would do:

Actual Room Size = 40 x 2.4 / 3

Actual Room Size = 32 square meters.
