Yes, a tvoc CADR of about 100m3/hr is about right. Because carbon isn’t as effective at capturing particles in a single pass as a HEPA. HEPA: 99.95% single pass efficiency. Carbon: 30%.
That means you need the air to pass through the purifier multiple times before all VOCs are filtered out.
It’s also worth noting that for carbon filters, their CCM (how much VOCs they can hold) is more important than the CADR. The reason being VOCs are slow-release from things like wood, furniture etc. So it’s more like a hare and tortoise kind of thing. Slow and steady but good stamina!
