We don’t recommend using ozone to sterilise or purify the air. Even low levels of ozone can cause some health problems, e.g, chest pains, cough, sore throat, etc. It can also aggravate existing tracheitis, emphysema, and asthma. “Bad” ozone also reduces lung function and causes inflammation in the periphery of the lungs. Continuous exposure to excessive levels of ozone can also cause permanent damage to lung tissue. Even healthy people can experience difficulty breathing when exposed to ozone.
