A common misunderstanding is that a higher purification effectiveness is better. In actual fact, a HEPA filter has to be assessed for its ability to capture particles and block wind. The better its ability in catching particles, the better its ability in blocking wind. We need to choose one that is effective and cost-effective.
We did many tests using filters of different effectiveness (99.5%, 99.95% and 99.995%) to compare the CADR. We choose the most cost-effective filter for each Smart Air product based on the strength of the fan and actual test data.
