Can I Put a HEPA Filter Inside My Air Conditioner?

We don’t recommend placing HEPA filters in or on top of your air con (air conditioning) unit. HEPA filters have a fairly high air resistance, which air conditioners are not designed to work against. The extra pressure caused by the HEPA filter on the air con may overwork the air con and damage it, or reduce the overall effectiveness of the air con unit at cooling the air.
